ABSTRACT: This presentation aims to highlight the importance of philosophy as an intellectual exercise of knowledge of objects as well as an existential recognition exercise between subjects. It also aims to present a sequence and an original focus on the philosophy of the consciousness. The urgency of philosophical thought emerges from life, relating to it through each idea, thesis and argument and in each perplexity, ignorance, and mystery it touches. Because life surprises us and makes us restless, philosophy attempts reflection, which is conciliatory, coherent, and grounded, laying out ties to integrate a comprehension which longs for universality and the individual and irreplaceable pulsation of the person who is alive and is perturbed by the other. Learning about philosophical matters can lead to greater self-knowledge and to an application of philosophy to subjects like the crisis in our current times searching for new personal and collective paths.
